Bob Arnold, MD is a triple threat in medicine. An expert clinician, educator, and researcher, Dr. Arnold started the University of Pittsburgh Section of Palliative Care and Medical Ethics. He is now bringing palliative care education to physicians as early as possible in their careers for Mount Sinai’s Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine. His work focuses on how clinicians operationalize ethical precepts in the care of seriously ill patients, and the intersection of communication skills training, medical ethics, and palliative care to improve clinician-patient relationships.
