We are proud to present an Influencer Interview with Arion Lillard-Green, MHA, M.TS  

Arion Lillard-Green is a native of Prince George’s County, Maryland.  Lillard-Green has emerged as a passionate advocate for equity and inclusion. As a first-generation college student, Arion navigated her academic journey with resilience, balancing her studies with leadership roles that amplify marginalized voices.

 “We need to find ways to collect better, meaningful data to gain a well-rounded understanding of social risk factors,” she says. “The end-of-life journey should not start at the end of life. Unfortunately, aging and dying well is a privilege that needs to be extended to all persons earlier in the health care continuum.” 

A former Chaplain with Goodwin House Palliative Care and Hospice in Falls Church, VA. She is an advocate for making health education and health literacy accessible to all people through inclusion and is dedicated to making an impact on chronic illness within the African American community through outreach. Arion has served as a contributor to the development of provider resources and tools aimed at assisting hospice and palliative care organizations with diversifying patient populations. She is a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s Diversity Advisory Council, a commissioner on the City of Alexandria’s Commission on HIV/AIDS, and a consultant to organizations building programs to expand their reach to underserved communities.
